just installed o/r x-pipe and went on dyno. my previous numbers were 416rwhp with the basics (c-back + cai). unfortunately for an unknown reason, the tires would not hook, so no number higher than 300.
what are usual numbers with similar set ups?

wow, so all that noise for almost nothing !
would the x-pipe yield more if i had pulley and tune?
at what hp level does the stock h-pipe start to restrict airflow?

i went from a magnaflow catted x pipe to a magnaflow offroad x and gained 47 whp and 42 wtq on the same tune. no adjustments were made to the tune at all. the correction factor was 1.02 for both days.

A known fact about Terminators is that we have SUPER restrictive exhaust stock, look to gain about 10-15 RWHP. SO aroudn 25 hp at the least. 5.0 mag got 12 rwhp out of a 03 COrba with a bassani catback.

10 base hp sounds about right for your stock 96 gt, not an 03 CObra.

He's adding a mid-pipe not catback.......a mid-pipe on a stock pullied car won't be worth much..

WHoops, I sadi catback, but I meant x-pipe.. 5.0 mag got 10rwhp out of one on a stock CObra, A buddy of mine got 13 out of a vrs...That's 20+hp.

Do you know what you made?

FYI, at dyno day at steeda last year, I dynoed 399.5rwhp. with CAI and Flow CB.
Another guy had a K&N and Borla CB with Bassani catted X. He made 420rwhp.
So ~20rwhp.

2 different cobras, not cars. Yeah but the "~" stands for approximately or roughly. Granted we both had K&N's but his Borla makes a few more Hp than my Flows CB. I understand it would also depend on his stock numbers too, but this was a real world trial and gained 20rwp. So it is possible to gain that amount not guaranteed. Chill out.

What are talking about chill out??? Your panties are in a wad not mine....I was just saying you can't really use that as a comparison since it's two different cars (even though they're both "Cobras") with two different combos. We all know the differences in stock pullied Cobra's dyno numbers....

The reason why yours was lower is because Flowmasters don't make nearly the rwhp that Stingers/Magnaflows/Bassani or any straight thru muffler.

yeah I know, ....Stupid patented technology!!

I just love the way flows sound, but the Borla Stingers are growing on me the more I hear them. I didn't want anything too loud for the Vert.

dynomax ultraflow cat back (3")
bbk o/r x-pipe (2.5")--removed--
kenne bell cai.

i removed the x-pipe due to its WAY-TOO-LOUD-AND-RASPY sound.
I should have followed my first idea : PROCHAMBER.
i use to have a prochamber on my 95GT. the sound was great.
