I just installed autometer lunar boost and water temp gauges the other day and I am seeing about 20 on the vaccum side at idle. It goes up from there with the rpm's as it is supposed to. Just curious if this is normal or what should it be at? It reads 9psi at full throttle which is correct. If this is a repost I apologize in advance, but I didn't see anything when I did a search. Thanks for you guys help.

if by up you mean down (towards zero) then yes thats normal.
i get between 20 and 22 at idle. these cars have huge amounts of vacuum. gives you an idea of just how mild the camshafts are.

yes I meant towards 0, thanks....I thought it was probably normal but it doesn't hurt to ask. Anyone else getting something dramatically different?

Im like others ive seen on here. Im around 16lbs on my Autometer.
Thanks for the responses....I started thinking and realized that I am not totally sure if I understand vaccum all together. I have a basic idea but does someone care to give me their explanation of it. Is it simply the amount of suction in the engine? The reason I ask is b/c my gf was asking and I was having a hard time trying to explain it to her.
