How the hell do you clean the bugs out of the radiator fins?

I love the look of the 03 Cobra from the front, but is anyone else having a problem with dead bugs in the radiator, etc. fins? Seems like there should of been some type of guard there to protect them.

Some of the dead bugs can be pulled off, but I'm afraid I'm going to start bending the fins soon, and that will really look like crap.

If you use a pressure washer, you must aim straight into the fins. If you shoot at an angle you will bend the fins. Do not get too close. Prespray with a bug remover and give it a little time to soften up the bugs. Brushing with a plastic bristle brush might help but may not be necessary. You may want to test the bug remover on your paint out of the way somewhere or just be careful to keep the paint wet and avoid getting the remover on it.

I usually just sit on the ground and pick them out with a stack of toothpicks. Takes rocks out and bugs without easily damaging the fins. Maaaybe I'm just nuts

hey guys if it was light i would use my camera and show you a pic tonight.

Buy a bug guard screen from Napa. It was a bank breaking $3.84 coverd the radiator and lower intercooler radiator. Just a simple screen like u see on street rods grills at the shows. Just slipped it in front of the radiator and it has small eyelets to tie it to the radiator. Does great for bugs when I wash the car & spray the hose at the bugs on screen they fly off (dead of course) try it.

Old toothbrush. A comb used gently can straighten bent fins.

I use a hard bristle toothbrush, dunk it in a cup of water to loosen the bugs.

Might try that. Like brushing my cars teeth. but, how would you even get to the radiator? Jack the car up? Then you would have bugs falling on you. What does everyone else do?
