How to lower just 1"

I did a search and found a few people that said they have done this, but didn't say how....

I dont know much about lowering - what would it take to lower both the front and rear 1 to 1.5 inches? What would I need to do it, has anyone else done it, and how much $ ?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
