How to remove side scoops

Doing some fiddling with new side scoops. How do you remove them without scraping or bending anything? Can't find any instructions in the Factory Service Manual. Are attached with clips that have serrated pins in body and groove that scoop slides into. Also, what's safest way to install new ones?

Pull to remove, push to install. Yep, they are the serrated pins.
