How to tell if an SCT xcal is unmarried

Lookin' to buy a used xcal. How do you tell if it is unmarried?

hopefully they put their stock tune back into their car. If locked, you can pay to have it unlocked though.

Well, that is what the seller is saying but I want to verify before I buy.

Anyone know how I can do this?

Have the seller put together a PayPal invoice with a note stating that if the tuner turns out to be married/locked you will get your money back...

That's a good idea. I would be picking this thing up in person so if I brought my car could I plug it in and would it tell me?

For those of you who are interested, here is how to tell if it is unmarried

Power up the device by plugging in to either a vehicle's OBDII port or a computer's USB port. (usb cable not included)

Once powered up, scroll all the way down to device info.

Press Select on Device Info.

Status will either be: Status: Locked or Status: Unlocked
