Where is the best place to get the rear glass for a L? Ford is out of their minds on price. I searched on e-bay and a couple of other sites and didn't see anything. The next place I look will be a salvage yard. Got any other ideas?

Thanks for the complement on my truck. :D It came with the sliding rear window. I'm looking for the dark flat rear glass. The prices I'm finding are in the high $400 to low $500. That's just plain crazy for a piece of flat glass.

Yo Rick........

I think I am going to do the Breezer rear window.

That is the removable full rear window, I will let you know how it turns out.

Just an idea for ya.

Later,
Jason

Hey Rick,

A buddy of mine saw this post and told me to let you know about Auto Glass and Accessories (727) 442-5656, there's a Tampa store too so you can call the St.Pete number above and get it. Talk to a guy named Bill, he should be able to do way better then 400-500 bucks.

There are alot of F150's running around town with the solid rear window.

I wonder how many would be willing to trade?

Just a thought...

Rich - You know how I am about getting rid of the stock stuff. :) I'm going to call the guy DJ posted about and see where that leads. You have any idea if you can just take the slider out and put the glass in or do i need more parts?

I've seen those and considered going the way but I've got something special in mind if I can get all the pieces to come together.

Thanks. I'll have to check when I get home. That is a price I can live with. Now I just have to get the other part sorted out and I'll be all set. :D:D
