have a 98 cobra built motor and rear end but trans is junk dont know what to go with or if i should rebuild the stock one

You could rebuild it, but the T45 is considered by most to be a POS. I'd swap in a T56 if I were you.

Upgrade the T45 or go with a Tremec.
i am going to procharge it soon, be around 550-600 rwhp so i need one that will take some power
I'll go with a viper spec t56. It'll handle that power level and has a nice highway cruise 6th gear.
The promotion is built to withstand 750hp. If you do go with the T56, it will cost you more (unless you piece it together from different places). I am planning on getting some more boost, but not for awhile. I make 431 to the ground right now and in the future am hoping for maybe 550 to the ground.
what kind of price do they get for it
I think it was 1600 or so. Unless you really want a 6 speed than go with a T56, but then you have some more cost with shortening the driveshaft and what not. I like my t45.
yeah i knew i would have to get a new driveshaft but i am not set on a six speed got 4:10 gears but dont really do a whole lot of driving mabye 1000 miles per year tops so the 6th gear dosnt mean much as far as driveability
