I have recently started a rat rod project. I'm working with a 49 Dodge B-1 that has seen better days. I'm chopping the top five inches and the body twelve inches. The power train is coming from my fox body.

The fox motor is mildly built. Trick Flow heads, rockers, cam, yada yada ya.

I am changing the fox motor from EFI to carb. I am going to run an edelbrock intake matched with a holly 750 carb.

Onto my question, will I have to run an electric fuel pump on top of the mechanical?

Lastly, anyone have a carb and intake for sale that may suit my build?

My understanding is that you can ditch the mechanical and just run an electric with the regulator set for the proper psi for the carb.

That is what I was thinking as well. I started to think about it and having the two didn't make sense. I am going to be ignorant as I get adjusted to a carb set up.
