IAC valve :(

Motorcraft no longer makes it and I can't find one anywhere, anyone use the "Standard motor products" one? I tried a wells one and it didn't work.. For the 98 cobra btw.

Make an iac restrictor plate. 9/32 seems to be the norm. Works like a charm.

Mine wasn't working (idle was at 2200 everytime I'd come to a stop. If I let out of the gas the car would go to 2200 and keeping going forward), made the plate have had none of those issues at all ever again. In theory I also figured it wouldn't work due to the IAC already going out; but it worked. Same as on my friend's Mach 1.

The restrictor plate was created before tuning these cars was more common. Now days you can and should do that work in the tune instead of with a restrictor.

the borg warner works fine for me.... 2 years old now... if you have a chance to buy an original one^ just do that
