what should the rpm be at idle?

about 750-800
mine is around 1200 at warm idle how do i adjust it?
700~ when its warm. Mine now and again dips a little down and you can feel the car shake a tiny bit but it usually only does it every now and then (probably plugs)
it idles normal when i first start it but if i com2 to a stop it is idling around 12 - 1300 rpms
anyone have a idea why the idle is high after its been driven?
any idea what i should check first?
vaccum lines? mine dips sometimes it got worse with the cai
thanks alot that thing has several vac lines but i guess i got to start somewhere
