ok. im installing an indicator light to come on as soon as i switch my ignition switch on. Heres how its set up, I have a switch that all it does is interrupt the signal from the yellow and yellow/green wires to the ignition switch (on the steering column). Like i said i want the light to come on whenever i flip the switch on. I've been trying to figure out whether I have to ground one side of the light or not...i just don't get it...HELP please :cuss:

so cal
If you don't ground the light then it wont work, I assume you are just running a hot key on wire from your ignition switch to the light to indicate the key is on? The light will have to be grounded to illuminate.

well. i have it set up now, where both wires from the light go to both sides of the master ignition switch. In this setup, it only lights up when i have the key in the "on" position but, the switch isn't armed, when i turn the switch on, the light goes off. thanks tho i'll ground the switch and see what happens
