are these just 4-wire bosch sensors?

can they be cut and spliced... mine took a crap on me... and need to be replaced... or do I need to buy that whole wire and assembly?

thanks...

Many have got hurt for passing this information on but i'll tell you just keep it a secret.(haha) you can go to your local part's store and pick up a o2 sensor for like a 04 gti turbo or something like that. the bosch part # is 17014. good luck.

Some Advance Auto stores carry them. I couldn't find one in stock at either Advance or Autozone in Austin, and I only found one store in Houston that carried them.

Its a VW sensor that you can get about anywhere. Are you getting the E8? Try to free air calibrate it before replacing it. I was showing the E8 and E9. Calibrated it and all was well. Just food for thought.
