I have a 14 gt 500 with a 10% lower headers and o/r H pipe, jlt induction and a cobra jet throttle body the car has made as much as 721 wheel hp. Mike Murillo has told me with e85 another 50-60 whp is easily achievable. My over all goals with this car is not to just make numbers to brag about I LOVE racing and running mid 10's or faster on my stock ratio gearing is a big goal a trap speed of over 140 is a big goal as well because I roll race too and that is indicative of how well a car will perform in a roll race. I want to limit the car to 850-900 whp because based on research that is a safe zone for these motors. With my car making right at 800 whp on e85 is the kenne bell 3.2 worth the coin? Thanks for all friendly input.

At 850-900 RWHp it will be a matter of only time before a rod puts a window in the block. 760-780 RWHp is the considered the safe limit, but a few guys have windowed them at these power levels also.

Ouch! I was unaware of that! The local dyno shop had a few 13-14 cars from Dallas down the other day they were all on stock bottom end and all three made north of 1k. I asked them if they felt safe they were quite cavalier about engine life. They must have more money. One was a huge kenne bell and the other two were huge whipples.

My advise is talk to Tim or Tracey at maximum velocity there in S.A. they are the mustang shelby specialist and deal directly with Jon Lund.

Here are a few links to one owner's adventure above 800RWHP. This car was still utilizing the stock 2.3L TVS supercharger. It's one thing to have big Hp and not use it, it is quite a bit different if have the higher Hp and you do use it. If I'm not mistaken Shelby American list the power output of the 2013-2014 Super Snakes at 850 Hp with the Kenne Bell 3.6L Supercharger with the stock bottom end. From posting I've seen these cars dyno results are usually under 750RWHp. Whoever is telling you that you can safely build 900RWHp is trying to get into your wallet for the short term mods, I doubt they'd be willing to help you out after the engine expires a few months later

I know a guy here who has trashed 2 3.2 head units trying for over 800. I would say there are better heads out there for what you want.

With a very, very good setup, you can trap 140mph with 800rwhp (as measured on a Dynojet). Stock gears will make that quite difficult, though.

Also, having said that, I'd only push it that hard if you're happy rebuilding the motor if something were to go wrong (hint: rods aren't so strong at that power). A good, conservative tune , and by using E85, and you'll PROBABLY be fine...but there's always a risk at this level.

To answer your question - you have a ton of potential left over in that little TVS of yours. VMP know the recipe for making good power, especially using the TVS, for people such as yourself who already have a clear goal in mind. They'd set you up right.

Good luck! :)

Thanks for all the input guys! I think I'll stick with the e85 and the stock tvs for now I really don't want to build a motor for a couple years.

My 2013 GT500 is on stock motor, stock clutch, stock trans, stock rear end

I have the 13-6 Kit with Headers and E85

I have run 10.6 at 140mph at Atco Raceway on a 90 degree day.

I also have won Roll Racing events At Pocono Raceway.

Your goal is very attainable and my car is living proof.

If you need more info look up Petrolwerks for videos and pics of the car in action.

CMON!

Guys have made over 900whp with the Power By The Hour elbow and kb168 mod.
Just slap that on your tvs and you will max out your stock block until it's big blower time.
It works!

I'm not saying it doesn't work at building 850-900RWHP. I'm flat out saying he can do it, but if he goes to the races regularly or street races regularly. The Rods will eventually exit the block and the link I posted is a fantastic example of somebody that did just that.

The OP is asking for advise, my advise is to build a motor if he is regularly going to the drag strip and roll races with 900 RWHp. Because to ask the stock rods to withstand that much load is asking for this to happen

Point taken!
900 whp is only useful if it can be done safely. So holes in the block mighhhhhht be a bit dicey!

Yea holes in the block is a no go! I'm gonna tune it on e85 and stay there till I've bought another block from ford and a reciprocating assembly. I'll build the short block and have central Texas performance put on the heads and put her in the car then I'll see how much power can be wrung out of the tvs then move to a BIG twin screw.
