I run the lingenfelter Varimax pump. That was definitely a step up over the stocker. Also Malcolm do you plan to have your IC tapped for the larger fittings?

Also curious who modded the intercooler and adapter tubes.
Nice!! Who did you go through for that? Cobra Engineering?

Great job welding!!
I need a tig welder
Me too!
Id try so much more crap if I had a Tig.
Just don't buy cheap junk. You will get frustrated and give up on it. Just takes some practice. I started arc welding back in the 90s, then MIG welding and then TIG. I highly recommend getting a name brand like a Miller or something. Those harbor freight type welders leave a lot to be desired and when you're trying to learn and fighting inferior equipment all at the same time you'll be endlessly frustrated.
Do you have a water cooled unit? I want to be able to weld aluminum for small projects like this but I wasn't sure how necessary a water cooled unit was for this type of stuff.
No air cooled. I've not seen to many water cooled units. Even some of the huge units in welding shops that are as tall as myself are air cooled usually.
Most hobby / home sized welders will do aluminum. It definitely takes a lot more practice than steel. I learned to weld with steel and only years later picked up aluminum but I don't see why you couldn't go straight to it.
No the Lingenfelter version of the pump is discontinued. The Stewart pumps used to ship with the electronics driving them at 9 amps. Lingenfelter would reprogram the electronics to 19 amps and sell them for an additional $100.
Stewart now sells the pumps programed at 25 amps so it's a win win. Standard price and more flow.
Yes the hose is ridiculous. It's almost an inch inside diameter, 0.875". It looks like radiator hose its so big, in fact its sold as coolant replacement hose. I'm still not sure how I'm even going to route that... work in progress.

I have not. I'm vaguely familiar but would need to do more reading. Will put on the list of things to look into.
Great work as always. Check out my accidental build thread for intercooler hose routing ideas. Good luck with your upgrades.
