Update time. I'm pretty much done with the new fuel system and gonna go get it tuned next week at Blankenship's. This is gonna be pretty pic heavy so I do what I can tonight and may finish up tomorrow. I try to caption the pic with an explanation too as I go. Pumps. Make sure they are 2.985" from the base of the pump sock to the bottom of the hat. Not the best pic of the actual measurement. I use plenty of Petrolatum Technical on everything fuel. Been using it on aircraft for 22 years and the stuff is great. Spliced the wires from the pumps to the hat with environmental splices. I don't like using heat shrink in fuel systems but thats just me. After this, I sat the hat aside until I was ready to install it. This is the wiring harness installed in the back of the car. It looks like a ton of work but there is actually only one wire that is spliced here. The little blue wire is spliced in from the FPDM for the key on signal to the two relay mounted above. The splice, relays mounted and the two grounds to the relays is all that need to be done back here. The other splices you see in the pic are from the removal of the KB BAP. Better pic of the Blue to Purple wire splice. Here's where you'll want to run the Relay power wires and the Hat harness toward the front. Still just following the OEM wire run down to the Hat area and the plug end stops there. The Relay Power wires continue through the door sill plate and through the fire wall to the Power point at the relay box up front. Through the Fire Wall. And to the Relay Box Power wire. Now for the Regulator Butt whoop'en! I couldn't find anywhere that suited me for my regulator near the fire wall, so I just made my own mount on the strut tower. I use .050 Stainless Steel to make the plate and It works well. Fabbing-up pics. Put a line of very dense rubber sheeting on the back side. Regulator mounted. Im gonna stop here for the night and I'll finish up the pics to where I'm at right now when I get home from work tomorrow. This job is NOT that bad at all, but I wouldn't try to do it in a hurry your first time. Bee back tomorrow with rest of the install.
