installing SD trans cooler, need help quick

I'm installing the cooler now. I cut the lines and am about to install Russle PN 639210. Do I flare the lines?

I would say to double flare them, kinda like you would a brake line. Usually the Russell part should say to do so. Let's see if anyone else chimes in and gives a third opinion. good luck.....

I did not flare mine when I did it last summer and there is no signs of any leaks. It should be a compression fitting.

If it's a compression fitting as it looks, do not flare the lines.

Do not flare the hard lines. The fitting will either not work or leak.
