Intake Manifold

Hey guys I have a cracked intake manifold :gt:

I was wondering if I should get the same one to replace it or is there a better improved one to get?

If there is where can you get them? Thanks

These are my thoughts, but they could be wrong. Someone correct me if I am.

By going w/ 99 and newer GT heads, wouldn't you need a 99 and newer upper and lower intake manifolds? You could get the extra HP and TQ from improved heads, plus better lower and upper intake manifolds. This is if money isn't a problem.

Other than that, I would try StangParts and check to see if you could get a new manifold from one of their salvaged GT's.

I would love to get the PI heads but right now I dont have the money :shrug:

I wasent expecting my intake manifold to crack right now but what can ya do.

I'll just try to see if I can get one from stangparts.com for a decent price.

I understand how things break, and when they do the money isn't there to upgrade. :bash: Totally sucks.

StangParts seems like a good company. They advertise in 5.0 Mustangs and Super Fords monthly, and I've read a few good things about 'em.

BTW, where did your manifold crack at? Seems like a freak of nature for it to crack.

They place I took her too said that it was cracked by the thermastat area. I just drove her home and now im looking online for a new intake since no one is open today or tomorrow.
