Anyone had the fine opportunity dealing with the "LEAK" on their 01? I wonder if it is fixed by now. What about any other mishaps on 01's?

I believe on the 01s ford changed the intercooler setup. It is probably their fix for the defective ones of 99,00. I sure hope I dont have any probs. I think it is totally different though.

Does anyone know where the leak is on 99-00 intercoolers is it a corrosion problem or does something crack.

It is believed that the cracking is from flexing, due to the fact that the intercooler is only supported on the ends. The cracking occurs in the welding tward the ends. Have not seen one so I can't be any more specific than that.

I have 7000 miles and no leak. My only problem, is each time I get her going faster I want more. I am getting a flip switch chip next, I want to break into the 12's

Sorry, I'm asking for my father-in-law

Have they done any type of recall on the 99,00 intercoolers?

His is leaking and he asked me if I could find anything out for him.

Anyone know?

No, there has been no kind of recall on the intercoolers, and there never will be. Recalls normally pertain only to safety issues. However, if Ford notices a recurrent problem it may issue a TSB (tech service bulletin) which basically is the instructions to the service departments on how to deal with that problem. TSBs are not issued until the parts and procedures to fix the problem are available. And even then it is up to the customer to bring the problem to the attention of Ford, they are not out to recruit warrantee work. In the case of the intercooler the parts are not available, so there is no TSB. In April I was told by SVT that the new intercoolers for the '99s and 00s would be out in May. Here it is July, and they are still not out. As usual it is we consumers who take it in the shorts. :(
