Intercooler to Whipple install question

Anyone else bought a Whipple and noticed that not all 10 of the intercooler bolt holes are used? Is that normal? See the middle intercooler hole in the pic below.

i have a 2.3 and all mine were used in the application . its hard to tell in your pic, maybe im just to tired from work. if its used maybe a bolt is snapped in there.

My 3.4 is like that. I thought it was odd too.

There isn't a bolt snapped off. There just isn't a hole machined in the base plate at all. Here's another pic.

I'm sure there is a reason, I just know how my luck goes and figured I got some kind of defect part.
