interior trim help???

i am doing a 5 speed swap on my car and am curious if you can use the automatic shifter bezel and just put the put in it??? thanks for any help i figured someone out there should know

Ohh now that you put it that way.........only one way to find out, and that's trying it out

I think it can be done...I know the boots on the 5 speeds are attached kinda funky...thers tabs that stick out of the bottom of the bezel and they go through the boot, then the tabs are melted and smushed to hold the boot in place...so you'd probably have to find an alternate way to attach the boot on an auto bezel...

ya on latemodelrestoration.com i they have clips that you can put on to hold the boot on but idk how i could put them on to hold on my bezel....i thought maybe super glue would have enough hold on it to just hold the boot
