So are these still the only sizes as you posted above...

275/40R17 - $169.00 each
315/35R17 - $186.00 Each
285/40R18 - $275.00 each
305/45R18 - $249.00 each
315/40R18 - $306.00 each
315/35R20 - $316.00 each

Id like to get something in the 305/35R18 range, you have the 305/45 but I dont really want that tall of a tire.

Matt, can you bug Nitto to make the NT-05 and NT-05 Drag Radial in 305/35/20? They are leaving the entire GT500 community out in the cold. The 315 will not fit. I would love run this tire but can't with the sizes they currently offer in 20.

That sucks Jefe, but at least you will get feeback on these tires before you put them on your Cobra...for me, I think Im gonna just do 555r's and wait to see if they get the size I want in the NT05r.

You're not going to get good mileage out of those, especially with our horrible roads. Well unless you drive like an old lady. Have you checked the NT01's? Might as well spend $30 more per tire and get a lot more mileage

The sizes listed above reflect the current production sizes. Nitto will be releasing additional sizes to their NT05R line and as more information on these future sizes become available, we'll certainly post up.

I'll certainly pass this information along

i have the 555r right now, how do these compare? traction? how many miles they should last?

NT05's have better wet traction, just about the same dry traction. I have 7300 miles on my NT05s and unfortunately I found a couple nails in them this week so they need to be replaced. I bet I would of seen 10k+ miles. The Nt05s are a better street/autocross tire. The 555r is for mostly drag strip/street use

The new NT05R Drag Radial has a softer rubber compound so you should see a difference in dry traction. As far as life goes, it's tough to tell at this point since the tire was just released but I would anticipate anywhere from 2K to 5K miles. According to Nitto's spec sheet, the NT555R should provide better wet traction over the NT05R.

I have the 555rs.. what proof is there that the 05rs are better at launching?? the 555r only work with excellent track prep.. when the prep is there they rock.. but when its so so they are soso also..but the M/T drs in so so still work great.. I'm not knocking nitto.. I like being the underdog...

At this point there is really no proof but with the lower tread wear rating and optimized contact patch, I imagine there will be a significant improvement in off the line traction compared to the NT555R.

Matt when will these be in the store?
Matt is off on wednesdays but I don't want to leave you guys hanging....

If you want to purchase them locally, you'll have to call your local store and ask them if they are going to be stocking them. Most stores don't stock competition tires but they are happy to order them in for you if they are available.

If you want to purchase them online I show that stock has arrived in out Ohio and Arizona warehouses. If you place your order by 2pm they usually ship same day. For you, Safrado, ETA would be 1-3 business days.

Give us a ring, we'd be happy to push some out for you. 1.888.459.4080.
