Picking up my 04 L would like to know if I can plug in my iPOD using my monster aux cable. Are there aux ports to do this on the back of a stock radio deck. Thanks.....

I used to have a pioneer radio that had an input that could plug an ipod into. Pioneer makes a wiring harness that plugs into where the cd change would go. The other end has a RCA input. Just go down to radio shack and buy a RCA to headphone jack and plug it into your ipod. Don't know if that makes sence but here is the part I am talking about.

I don't know about this company but that is the part and the # for you. Your local stereo shop could order it for you if they are a Pioneer dealer. Hope this is some help to you. If you want to hook it up to your factory radio, the only thing that I would think of would be a FM transmitter but the quality sucks ass.

factory radios do not, but most after markets do. and that adapter is for low end pioneer stereos that dont have aux inputs and would not work on a foctory radio.

thats 3 years of being an Auto Sound and Security Specialist and working with company reps talking.

I have an Ipod and a high-end Sony head unit. I thought about trying to go the cheap route and do the same thing. However, I have been told by many Ipod users that the sound quality is not nearly as nice that way and controlling the Ipod sucks like that. It also doesn't work for every head unit. Belkin makes a car kit that is fairly cheap and rates pretty well. But if you are interested in the best integration you need to look into this product Dension Ice-Link I recently bought one for use in my L and it works flawlessly and sounds awesome. Also, I know for a fact that it will work with the stock head unit as well. The great thing about the kit is that it allows you to use your stereo to control the ipod. With every other kit out there you have to use the controls on the Ipod to change songs, playlists...ect. The only downfall of this kit is that it's expensive (about $150) But if you are the kind of person that needs to have the best stuff, this is the way to go. The install was super easy, it took a total of 10 minutes. The quality of the kit is pretty high as well. The other good thing is that their customer support is excellent. When I ordered it, I had a bunch of questions and they were real nice and informative. They even have their own forum, and the people there seem pretty helpful. If you have any questions about it or want to see mine installed let me know. I'd be happy to take some pics for ya. I'm just stoked that I don't have to worry about messing up my cd's anymore. :-D

PAC-audio makes an interface that adds 2 additional inputs using the factory radio where you can add the ipod and say XM radio (very nice combo BTW).

I believe its the AAI-FRD2 you want. You can find it under the Product drop down in Aux audio input.
