I know many have had their TOB replaced under warranty. Looks like I'll be going that route too. Was wondering has Ford released a TSB for this problem?
The stock replacement TOB is inferior in quality, which meant to me it would probably go out again. I replaced mine with a Valeo. It also couldn't be done by Ford, so a TSB was not a concern.
My reason for this is that the bearing behind it was also shredded. Luckily, my transmission was OK. It has already been replaced once.
In a nut shell, Its a high pitcherd squeeling that ceases when you push in the clutch. For a more detailed explaination, just search for tob or throw out bearing. If you had a bad TOB, you would'nt have to ask what the symptoms were
And yet another thread on this TOB!! Will it ever stop? Ford you need to get your crap together on this issue. No bashing, just a solution. Love my car.
