Im upgrading to a modified stock fuel hat with GT supercar fuel pumps E85 compatible, 8an fuel line, dual fpdm, wire upgrade, 80# injectors. I also have a VMP BAP but not sure if I need it. All this is to supply my Cobra with a 2.2kb to run E85.
Is it necessary to run a BAP with my setup?

I'd feel comfortable with your setup supporting about 650 rw on 93 pump, E85 will demand more.
I think you will need it especially with E-85. Go ahead and install it, better to be safe than sorry. How much boost do you plan on running?
Yes, you will need a BAP with those GT pumps. With just GT pumps I was almost maxed out when I was returnless with my KB2.2, and that is just on gas.
I suggest you get a new hat with aem 320e pumps if you want to run E85. I run this setup deadhead return with my KB2.2 on E85 @20#.
