I have a 2001 Cobra convertible that I bought from a dealer. It came with a functional Cobra R chin splitter. I'm getting ready to hit the car painted and I want to lose the chin spoiler but I have not seen anything for sale that would replace it. I can only find Mach 1 and 2003–2004 cobra chin splitters. Any help would be appreciated.

Those are your only choices. A lot of guys run the Mach 1 chin spoiler. I don't think it lines up by the wheel opening though.

Do not do a mach1 chin, they look gross on cobras....

You can actually use the 03/04 chin, it looks great....

Except they cost a fortune...my mind was blown when i looked up the cost.

Do the mach 1 and just add some more black plastic from a hardware store to the end to make it sit flush with the wheel wells.

Just some sanding and filling, then painted it. It was a bit wavy from the factory, and I wanted it perfect. The overall fit was spot on, just the leading edge was a bit less than perfect. It's a race part, made to fit a splitter and tear up on a track, not a show piece, or I guess that's their thought process...either way, after a few hours, I'm totally satisfied with it, it looks sick, totally sets the car off, and no one else has it. Worth it.
