i usually spend most my time on modularfords, modularpowerhouse and svtperformance, but im in the market for a 351W punched out to a 427. I can no longer afford to worry about the turbo setup so oldschool torque it is. I cannot find websites for the pushrod motors that are as helpful as these sites for the modular motors, any suggestions? thank you

Skip the interweb and go through older Hotrodding issues and books produced by some of the legendary old school engine builders. Stop by Barnes & Noble to begin with. For N/A innovation on those engines, the older builders were the guys innovating heads, intakes, cams, etc. for races like Pikes Peak or drag racing. And back then a lot of the guys new a whole lot more than just how to assemble a bunch of parts - metallurgy, etc.
