Issues with cold starts

Hi everyone,

I am having some problems with my Cobra when it first starts up. The rpm seems to fluctuate quite a bit on the first start in the morning and sometimes even shuts off. Car is currently stored for the winter but I try to start the car at least once a week if I can.

The rpm will jump to about 1400 rpm then drop to 600 rpm and will generally stabilize itself at 1000-1100 rpm (cold start). However, when the rpm drops to the 600 mark it sometimes shuts off completely.

I even tried cleaning out my air filter to see if that was the problem but it seems that the cleaning had no effect.

Would this issue be concerning my tune? Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Your idle air control (iac) valve could be dirty. May want to clean that or get a new one. Also clean your maf sensor while you are at it.

Is there a special cleaner that should be used to clean out the IAC? I know there is one for cleaning the MAF sensor.
