JLT CAI install questions! help!

it says on the directions not to use the stock screen on the MAF... do I just take it off... or do I need to get anotherone from somewhere?? It looks like its glued on. I don't get it. The smog pump think kinda scares me... considering I don't know exactly where its at, but I'll try and locate it.

also.. it says something about removing something holding the maf harness wire.. do I cut the jacket its in and route it through the hole??? ugh... this is clear as mud.

anyone??? the parts store closes soon! do I need to get a new screen????

You don't need the screen.

And if you are afraid of the smog pump (very simple) you need to get a shop book and start reading.

the bbk cai came with the screen and i did not use it and it doesn't hust anything. it is just incase your filter comes off and you should suck up a rock or something hard. it is just a safty precaution
