JLT RAI question

I got a good deal on a JLT RAI for and 03-04 Cobra. I confirmed with JLT that the plastic intake tube is the same as the 96-98 Cobra. It's the newer version plastic roto-molded-whatever.

The question is in the PCV fittings; they're different. JLT won't provide any additional info or sell me the fittings for the 96-98. It's looks like they're just 5/8" barbed fittings that go into the PCV hoses. Can anyone tell me how JLT attaches the fittings to the intake tube and how far they protrude into the inside of the intake tube? Do they use rubber grommets like the IAC? I can't find a good image or video anywhere.

Ideally I'd use a rubber grommet like the IAC uses, drill out the intake tube, put the grommets in, pop the 5/8" fittings in and be done. But before I drill the tube I'd like to get some opinions/other ideas. Like I know I can plastic weld the fittings into the intake tube too, instead of rubber grommets. Is that a better idea?
