'Boyz n the Hood' director John Singleton dead at 51


Singleton was a groundbreaker...think about it, he directed Boyz at the age of 22. Terrible to think that both he and Luke Perry have both died within two months of one another from strokes in their early 50's.

Yea, depending on your age (I'm 43) and where you grew up (inner city) Boyz really resonated with a lot of people, regardless of race. It was "real life."
