No, there is nothing wrong with it. I just decided to purchase a custom built cold air intake for my car. I just installed this thing 2 weeks ago and I had intentions of keeping it for a while. But I found a cold air kit custom made. He is a link to info on the FIPK. The kit is for a '01 Cobra but works perfect with the '03. I didn't drill either like it says to and it works fine. The PDF is for a 57-2523-1 and my kit is a 57-2523-2. I can't tell the difference.

After installing it I noticed a big difference in power. The blower is a lot louder also. This is a nice kit and the heat sheld is metal not plastic. I still have the box and everything that it came with. I will be getting the new kit this saturday, so pictures of it and the FIPK (taken apart) will be available shortly after. This kit is like new and I payed almost $200 for it with shipping (or at least it is still charged on my credit card, the bill hasn't even came in). PM me if you are interested and I will be looking for the best offer above $150. I live in Houston for those who don't want to mess with shipping.

Evilcartman, I'm not interested in buying the one you have as I have the same thing. What I would like to know is what is this new custom system you bought ? I've seen a few on the market including one from UPR that looks good. If you would rather e-mail me, use [email protected]

Thanks,
John
