KB 8 rib installed

I just got done with the 8 rib conversion with the 3.5" pulley. I am still waiting on the ATI 7.88" OD damper to get here.

Nice! how long did the install take you and was it a pain to cut into the bay for the intake piping?

I have not done that. I did the 8 rib off the bat. I'm still waiting on a few things. So I I am doing bit by bit.

It's not that bad cutting for the intake.....a Dremel worked well for me.

I actually just got done doing that. It wasn't bad. I would have rather had something like on the gt500s and not cut it though.

What'd you have to give for the 8-rib? I'm gonna run the 3.25 6-rib on mine for now, but need to do the 8-rib. The ATI ain't cheap either is it?!

The 8 rib with tool, 3.5" and 3.0" pulley was 1000 shipped and the ati 7.88 was 454 shipped from Colorado speed. But necessary for the 3" pulley.

I think I'm just gonna wait until next year and do a 3.6 and sell the 2.8. Should be out about $2500 after everything is sold.

Oh I def feel you on that. I won't be doing anything took next winter. I'm thinking th400, manual valve body and trans brake with stage 3 blower cams

got any info on the ati 8 rib dampner? part number? where you got it from? been looking for one, not that hard though

It is a 10 rib (15%) over drive pulley. Measures 7.88". I will find a part number, they have a a/c and with out a/c

Also be aware you will have to run a smaller water pump pulley. I can take measurements of mine if you need.

hmm, so the supplied water pump pulley that kb supplies with the 8 rib kit isn't small enough?

A waterpump comes with their 8-rib conversion, but I'm not sure about when you use the oversized damper.....

When you use a od Damper you tell Kenne bell which one and they will give you the correct size
