I'm pretty happy with my 3.55's for just putting around town but I was wondering if I go drag racing soon will I be even happier going to a 3.73, 3.90, or a 4.10?

What say you Mach 1 guys?

Wish I could test out the gears before I committ to a single one. :(

go with 4.10's or 4.30's. The N/A Mach1's love gear. I run 4.56's but have a t-56 so highway driving is a breeze. 3.73's are a waist when going from 3.55's

Gears are where they "screwed" us from the factory when competing with the Cobras , Termis specifically. From a dig 4.10s is the lowest gear alot of people go with when upgrading there gears. the jump from 3.55s to 3.73s or even 3.90s, is barely noticable, maybe by 200 or so rpm change. 4.10s is a good start. I know others who have ahd them , and traded up to 4.30s, and 4.56. Hell there was that one mach 1 with 4.88s.

But also with 4.10s (which i have waiting to be installed) the 70mph in 5th gear goes from 2000rpm to somewhere near 2400rpm. Thats not that big of a change if ya think about it

I am running a 4.56 now and have had 4.30's and 4.10's in the Mach. I think most people would be happy with a 4.10 as it will assist you at the track and the drivability on the street is not sacrificed.

imo,w/turbo or roots type blower stock 3.55 are best......w/centri 4.10s are best.....and with a n/a mach 4.30 or up is best. iv got 4.10s in my bolt-on mach and i want more gear maybe 4.56s.

a buddy of mine has a 96 mystic cobra with a viper spec t56 and some 4.88s...lol that thing is mean in the red light to red light grand prix.

+1 I wouldn't want any less with a s/c. I am picking up a IRS with 4:56's and am going to try them with the Vortech just for shits and giggles.

Ohhh ok, I was readin about the guy in the 01 cobra section who swapped to a SRA. So your the one pickin up the gears, haha, have fun!
