I've done a little reading and searching and haven't found a thread on SVTP dedicated to this issue, and information I see on the internet in general about polished aluminum seems conflicting.

I'm considering polishing my eaton, but some things I've read says that aluminum gets a 1 molecule thick protective layer on it, and will not tarnish, and other things I've read indicate that it will tarnish and I need something to protect it.

Do I or do I not need a protective coating to keep a polished eaton from tarnishing, and if so, what coating do I need?
