BAP is now a more popular option than the focus pumps. And haven't heard of any premature stock pump failure because of the extra duty that the BAP provides.

Go BAP, BAP + stock pumps = way more capacity then Focus pumps. I think Focus pumps are good for maybe 550rwhp max

Dual Aviators .........412lph

Kenne Bell BAP/Stock Pump Combo.............378 lph

Dual Walbros (no BAP)..............................316 lph

Dual Focus (SVT, no BAP).........................286 lph

Stock Cobra...........................................23 8 lph

ALL combos benefit from wiring upgrade/modded fpdm/lines/rails

BAP and focus or aviators blows 30 driver minifuse.

simpler yet,

stock good for 470

dual focus good for 530

stock with BAP good for 600

dual svt focus pumps, upgraded fuel rails, 60# injectors.

Herman has alread shown voltage problems if you use a BAP and larger
sized lower pulleys without using the correct alternator pulley (large voltage drops at higher rpms).

after hearing all the problems with BAPs im glad i went with pumps.

I didn't realize that any conclusive explanations ever came out of Herman's findings. And after fighting through 100's of posts on the subject on two different Forums, also didn't realize that a BAP install was shown to be a conclusive contributor to the voltage loss.......

no solid conclusions except I know several fellow cobra owners that have all had various problems with BAPS, that coupled with hermans prilimary findings leads me to believe I made a better choice.

voltage pid logging has shown on my car that the pumps didnt alter or lower the voltage in any significant way.

sure the problems those people are having could be more then just a BAP, but for now im more comfortable with the pump upgrade.
