Key fob intermittent non function

Excuse this if it is a re-post. The key fobs for my '13 GT would not work or took several button depressions to unlock, lock, trunk, etc. I opened them up and discovered that cheap dielectric grease was put on the battery and the contacts. Cleaned it off and the fobs work perfectly.

Thats nuts man why would they do that. I accidentally washed key fobs in my washer when i left them in my pants pockets and they worked fine afterwards!

interesting!!!!!!!!!!! ill have to try this...mines been acting up and i even replaced the battery

New car, new fobs and presumably new batteries in them. Was driving me crazy!
