Three injection presses, inner part, outer cup part and lid. All combined to run off of one piece of automation. A few linear robots and a couple Yaskawa six axis. Timing is crucial to keep everything going. There is not much buffer and empty pallets have to quickly make their way back to the press for a new part. The straw recognition/handling has been the hardest. A dropped straw on the conveyor can bring the automation down along with all three presses. Still working on that. Once in a while the box erector destroys the box instead of opening it and taping the bottom.
