I don't even have my car yet but I've started buying mods. Yesterday I called Jay Tucker at JLT and ordered a 2.6 pulley, idler and a CAI.

Then I call Dynotech and ordered a 3 1/2" alum driveshaft.
Called Cincy Speed and ordered a Steeda Tri-Ax shifter and Springs.
Called Cali car cover ordered a car cover.

Next week I'm calling Stainless Works to order 1/7/8 long tubes, and all the way out the ass end exhaust.

This summer I'll be calling EVO for a suspension package.

Everybody I’ve dealt with so far has been very helpful and professional, to the vendors that read this board.
Thank you!

I highly recommend the ground control coil overs I have on my car. It handles phenominal and the ride isn't too much worse than stock. 430/200 spring rate. Just an FYI, you will need to chance the control arms before putting on a 1 piece shaft or it will hit the body of the car under load.

Congrats on the mods and ride.

Whats going to hit the body of the car when you put on a 1 piece driveshaft?

the shaft will hit the tunnel. It has to do with the flex that the stock lowers allow. I dont know exactly why, but every gt500 should have a proper set of lower control arms, regardless. I have the billet bmr's.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll hold off installing the one piece shaft.

As for the ETA: It was just a guess from a person I talked to last week. I don't know if he's right or wrong! I'll guess I'll see shortly.

If you go with a 3.5 shaft, should that eliminate any possibilities of hitting, regardless of if stock lower arms are used?

+1

What's the pricing and ETA on the Dynotech unit?

The DriveShaft Shop lists new 3.5" units due out with no clearance issues:

>2005-07 Mustang V8 5 & 6 speed manual DSS only 3-1/2" ALUMINUM conversion single shaft (600HP)
"NO Clearence Issues" Shaft--FDSH4

>2005-07 Mustang V8 5 & 6 speed manual DSS only 3-1/2" ALUMINUM conversion single shaft (900HP)
"NO Clesrence Issues" Shaft--FDSH9

I want to replace my DS along with some new LCAs as my next mod :read:

Make sure you get the correct driveshaft length for the GT500. Its not the same as the Mustang GT. Inland Empire driveline and Kenne Bell found out they're different sizes the hard way.

Is that info from dyno tech?
