i wanted to know what kind of power did the first gen l,s make hp & tq stock and 1/4 times.also what were the best year to buy?and with say heads and cammes what kind of gains are we looking at?also what should i pay for a first gen with low miles.buy low miles i mean under 50k.

They were Factory rated at 240hp/340tq.They usually dyno around 200rwhp/300rwtq.Stock 1/4mile times range from 15.0 to 15.8.Mine got a 15.37,with AFR 185s,Comp XE264HR-14 cam,and few boltons it ran a 13.95.

price? depends on condition. if it is mint 9k I would say. I paid 14k for my 94 last summer with 1670 miles on it(1670 not a mistake). All years were good. 93's paint was not good. and 95 tranny was the best. but other than that they are all good if taken care of.

i got mine on ebay over 2 years ago...there is usually on the average about 1-5 of them on there at all times...sometimes there is none...but on the average one will pop up in a week or so.....i have a very clean 95 white, that i am possibly thinking of selling...but she has 105k..(with these trucks that is not bad miles at all) many running around with 175k plus miles and still running strong.....dont be scared of ebay (i was and old school but i did it and this truck was no dissapointments at all)

Rick I may be selling my black 94. Not perfect but its a good truck. Has good paint, but has a dent behind the driver rear wheel about the size of a cabbage ball(should be easily fixed). Also needs a tube bumper the one on it is bent on the ends. New lights all the way around. Runs great, 15.13 @ 87.xx pretty much stock. Only mods are a drop in K&N and a pulley kit. Has 157K miles but like I said it runs great. It does need a new rear main seal or maybe its the oil pan gasket as a couple of pan bolts were loose when I got it I tightned them up but it still drips. Shifts perfect and has a new MAC trans pan and MAC rear diff cover. It also has the factory center seat. All electronics work perfect pw, pl, a/c, heat, etc...I'm looking to get $5500 for the truck.
