Lightning vs 03/04 Cobra-Insurance$$

It looks like it might happen. I think the Lightning is sold. 03/04 Cobra time baby :rockon:
I was wondering, anyone know what the insurance difference will be? Im 23 years old, no tickets. I pay $80 a month for the Lightning. This is under my parents name ;-) How much more will the Cobra be?

Mine is about 400 a year more. I'm 28 with a ticket or two on my insurance.

My 01' Lightning was $4 less a month than my 03' Cobra.

I don't know the difference but I'm 27 and pay $150 a month for my 01 L, 03 Cobra vert, and a 98 Camry. This is through USAA with my wife and I on the policy.

EDIT: I just looked at my statement online. For 6 months the Cobra is $476.08 and the Lightning is $261.61

You should change your deductable to $1000 bucks instead of 500 and save some cash.

Would you honestly put in a claim for a $1000 dollar repair, then have to pay 500 of that anyway only to have your insurance go up for the next 7 years which in the end will cost you 20x more the 500 bucks that your insurance paid.

You gotta be insane to do that.

I run $2000 deductable on everything. I wouldn't file a claim for less than that.

i like my low deductable. it means i can bounce the car off stuff and have it fixed without worry.

For the cobra, it's like a over 2,000 a year... and that's all I'm going to say.
