Line lock sticking

So my last trip out to the track I had this issue where I would engage my linelock on a momentary switch it works find. But when i release the switch it would stay locked and id have to like pump my brake pedal really quick to get it to roll out of the burn out box. It worked great for a couple years. Im wondering if its a switch or ground issue. Anyone else have something like this? Do line locks get gummed up?

Check the wires but it's probably the solenoid itself.

Depending on the brand, the solenoid can be rebuilt. But it sounds like the solenoid is on its way out. I believe the Hurst solenoids can be rebuilt pretty cheap from parts at Summit.

Could check wiring to start with. I once piggy backed my power wire and for whatever reason the line lock engaged in the middle of a pull and stopped the car, it made absolutely no sense.

Which 1 was it?.
I have read 2 post from members on here that had the slp model.
And both solenoids failed. 1 at the track and 1 when he was driving on the HW.

Yup SLP line lock is what I have.
