Got a little problem that i hope some of you can help with. The differential is leaking, but that's the least of my problems. :cuss: I'm pretty sure the clutch is going out. The other day I went to pass a car on the highway, I was in 5th doing about 80mph and didnt see any need to drop it in 4th or 3rd ot pass him. So I floored it in 5th and as I accelerated a puff of smoke came through the center console around the shifter, so I though to myself WTF?? In the lower gears it still seems to grip pretty good, but if you open it up in 5th the boost jumps up, but not the acceleration i'm used to. Is my diagnosis on target? If so, how hard is it to change out the clutch with normal tools, and jack stands? I've done it several times on a Fox body, but never dove into the Cobra. Any help would be appreciated. Also, any suggestions on the new clutch?
