Long Tube Headers on an Automatic?

This is a question for those who have actually done an long tube header installation on an 5.0 automatic mustang. I know on the manual transmission cars you can pull the o2 sensor down from the harnesses but from my research on threads, I have heard mixed input on whether or not it is possible on an automatic to pull the o2 sensor down from the housing since it's so large.

I really don't want to use o2 sensors extenders!

I have JBA long tubes on my 11. I pulled the o2 sensors down and used them. The rears were no problem, but the front wires don't have much slack in them especially the passenger side.

How difficult was it to pull the sensors down? I've looked at the clips and it looks like a bitch.

Just pulled the connectors down off the harness, no extenders over here

Yeah it was a bitch. Skinny hands like mine helped for sure.

Just have to pull the clips out. Find a friend with strong tiny hands
