I've always liked the design of the 8-series. That blower looks out of place though.

I wouldn't mind one with the V12 if it weren't for the maintenance costs.

I'd rather have the V12.

Little history here. BMW orignally planned to make an M8 using that car as a base. They developed the engine and everything, very light, very powerful. The car never saw realization though, and only the slightly higher spec 850csi was made. The engine however, from the planned M8 did carry on, and through a few upgrades, developed 627hp, and was used in the Mclaren F1.

thats some cool history... i didnt know the mclaren engine was actually first developed for an actual BMW... very neat
