I got a 92 ssp 5spd coupe. The car is black & tan with grey interior. The top half that was tan the action spray painted over with black. The car is still as it was when it was bought at the state action in 95. You can still see where all the decals was at. Also still has WORKING wigg wagg lights. The body is very very stright. NO rust AT ALL any where. The car drives GREAT and runs super. Ive been driving it every day. Still has all the ssp upgrades. Here is some more info on the car. ALso has the spot light in the A-piller.

SPECIAL SERVICE PACKAGE (SSP)

1 OF 197 ORDERED BY FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL (FHP) IN ‘92

UNRESTORED / ORIGINAL / MARKED UNIT #1396

FLORIDA HIGHWAY PATROL /Troop D - Orlando, FL

Odometer Mileage: 179,623

This collectible car is perhaps one of the most ORIGINAL UNRESTORED “marked” units in existence from the Florida Highway Patrol. If you ever wished you could go back in time and buy one straight out of service here is your chance. This car still retains almost all of its original paint.

Yes, this FHP is Unit #1396 Most of these SSP cars were in multiple accidents and many never survived let alone being an original unrestored car that is now 18 years old.

NOTE: SSP MUSTANGS WERE BUILT BY FORD FROM 1982 TO 1993. Florida Highway Patrol purchased their first Mustang Patrol cars in 1983. The Mustang's handling was one of its greatest assets. Patrol cars of the past were as fast but did not have the high speed handling capabilities of the Mustang. The Mustang responded well to high speed and low speed curves.

The Mustang SSP was essentially a more rugged version of the 5.0 Mustang, with added features not available to the general public. Available options included:

Engine, 5.0 L HO V8 with Sequential Multi-Port Injection
Forged pistons, roller cam
Engine oil cooler
Aircraft-type silicone radiator hoses and clamps
5-speed manual transmission
Brakes, power disc front/drum rear with rotor shields
Stainless steel factory headers
Dual exhaust system w/stainless tips
Fuel tank capacity — 15.4 U.S. gallons (58 L)
Heavy duty stabilizer bars, front and rear
Full instrumentation with in-dash tachometer
130 and 135 amp internally and externally regulated heavy duty alternators
2 Piece VASCAR speedometer cable
Certified calibrated speedometer 0-160 mph
Relocated rear deck release
Vent shads
Single key locking doors/trunk
Reinforced floor pans
Full size spare tire

Lookin to trade for another coupe that i can do what ever with. Would hate to mess this one up. May also trade for a 94-98 YELLOW (only) GT or cobra.
Just let me know what you have thanks, ill be posting pics tomorrow..
