You are wrong. Car would have still picked up ~25hp regardless of fuel. Smaller monos do just fine for daily status. The 3.6 is almost obsolete now with the new Gen 3/3R making 1100+.

Already have had and sold a gen III, I had one of the first ones in the wild. The TB cluster**** turned me off from VMP. KB 3.6s make ~1100 all day long and come with a TB that works. YMMV.

These are heavy cars so my personal preference in a blower that delivers good low end torque, even if that means a few HP on the top end.

I understand your frustrations with the t/b issues but the KB t/b has issues as well. My KB 168 had issues and the V2 VMP 173 fixed it .. I just don’t think having a extra 30lbs of blower is worth it to make the same if not less power ;)
