I just spent a weekend in a base auto 2019 10a 5.0 Got 25+mpg on a ~750 mile trip. Clicked off a “12.7” @ “113mph” at 4200ft altitude on a back road with fords timer. I think for $35k, you can’t beat a 10a 5.0 I had it on very tight fun canyon run and stock base gt suspension was great on the gt350 take offs the car was on (my buddies set from his last car.) A base 19 5.0 10a on a sticky street tire is more car than 75% of people can extort on the street imo. Also launches and drives stupidly easily too. I like manual and don’t confuse me as an auto guy. For a daily driver, a 10a 5.0 is perfect. I driven and ridden in many gt500’s. Great cars, loads of theater, and presence. Definitely not a bad car, and it’ll handle well enough. I had a lot of memorable fun in gt500’s over the years. To me they are more of a chevlle ss 454 or Charger Daytona Superbee. Loads of presence and great straight line car, still good in the twisties. The 19 5.0 10a I just enjoyed is more of a boss 302 or camaro ss rs. Still quick in a line but much more fun around twisties
