Looking for modular cobra info..

What were the major differences between 96-98 and the 99?
the 5 speed was a tremec for those years correct? any reliability issues with these cars? Right now im dumping my 87 GT and using it for track duties, ive had plenty of run ins with modular cobra and i know tons with them so they can help me a lot with them.. any info? Thanks in advance

OK, let see here, the '96 has a cooling issue(Most have been fixed by ford) don't know of any issues with the '97 or '98. '96 and '97 have a STB and the '98 does not. Oh yeah the '98 and up have a returnless fuel system(I think). I know for sure that the 96 has a T-45 and I am pretty sure that the 97, 98 and 99 do also(I think they went with the tremec in 01). 96-98 Cobra's are rated at 305 HP and 300 TQ, the 99 is rated at 320 HP and 317(I think) TQ.

Rear sway bar on 96 and 97's are prone to breaking, 98 got a beefer one.
