If u want some good pizza I would give big Lou's pizza a shot. Try for a weekday if possible. It can be a crazy long wait on weekends. Los barrios is worth a shot for texmex.

For good mexican food, try Rosario's. It's on the corner of Alamo and St. Mary's streets.

I've been there many times, always excellent.
